President Donald Trump has shared a social media post seemingly criticizing young children for wearing hijabs at school.
The video was posted by the far-right account ‘End Wokeness’ and depicted a group of kindergarten students at their school graduation in Minnesota.
In the footage, the children are seen on stage in traditional caps and gowns, celebrating this significant moment. They are smiling and singing as part of the ceremony.
Beneath the graduation caps, the young girls were wearing hijabs.
The account shared the video to its 3.9 million followers on X, keeping the children’s faces visible, and captioned it: “Public school in St. Paul, Minnesota. Every girl is in a hijab … in kindergarten.”

Trump, 80, shared the post on Truth Social without adding any comments, an action acknowledged by the original account, which noted, ‘Trump just posted this on Truth Social’.
As of now, the post remains on the former president’s page.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has criticized the video and Trump’s actions, expressing his views on his social media page.
“The President of the United States is attacking a group of kindergarteners because of the clothes they wore to school,” he stated on X.
Trump has a history of making derogatory comments about Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar and individuals of Somali descent living in the United States, referring to them as ‘garbage’ in a televised cabinet meeting.
“I don’t want them in our country,” Trump remarked, according to the BBC. “I’ll be honest with you … Somebody will say, ‘Oh, that’s not politically correct.’ I don’t care. I don’t want them in our country.”

The relationship between Trump’s administration and the state of Minnesota has been fraught with tension, particularly after an increase in ICE raids led to widespread protests and civil unrest in the state.
In January 2026, two US citizens were fatally shot by ICE agents in Minnesota. Renée Good, aged 37, was killed on January 7, and Alex Pretti, also 37 and an ICU nurse, was shot by federal officers on January 24.
Julio Cesar Sosa-Celis, a Venezuelan, was also shot by an ICE officer but survived the incident.
UNILAD has reached out to the White House seeking a response.
