A young influencer known as DreamDoll Brii was tragically killed in a deliberate shooting incident in Florida, where two others were also injured, and one remains in critical condition.
Brianna Johnson was reportedly departing a party with two others, whose identities remain undisclosed, following July 4 celebrations. As they left in a green Lamborghini, their vehicle was ambushed by gunfire.
Authorities confirmed that all three occupants of the car were struck by bullets. The influencer’s family later verified her passing, sharing heartfelt tributes in her memory.
All victims were transported to Miramar Regional Hospital, where Johnson was pronounced dead.
Investigators revealed that the vehicle was hit by bullets over a dozen times, causing the SUV to crash into a nearby house after the driver lost control.
The incident occurred as two men and a woman were traveling west on Sunshine Boulevard, according to police.
DreamDoll Brii had amassed over 450,000 followers across Instagram and TikTok.
During a press conference, Miramar Police Chief Delrish Moss commented on the incident: “This is no way to wake up on a Sunday morning; it’s a chaotic scene.”
“Hearing multiple shots in the middle of the night or in the wee hours of the morning, it’s disturbing. At this point, we don’t believe there is a bigger picture with regards to the neighborhood being in danger, but certainly, they targeted this particular car for some reason.”
The investigation into the triple shooting is currently ongoing.
While authorities suggest it seems like a targeted attack, they caution that it is still premature to determine the full details.
“We’re trying to figure out why,” Moss added.
A neighbor who witnessed the event told NBC6: “There is no reason for that behavior when we’re all trying to come together for something as big as 250 years of freedoms, so why do stuff like that?”
Another resident mentioned: “It’s a little nerve wracking for no reason really.”
Surveillance footage acquired by law enforcement shows the moment gunfire erupted, leading to the tragic death.
Fans have been mourning the loss of the social media personality, with one stating: “This can’t be true.”
Another commented: “Oh my gosh, rest in peace this is so devastating.”
