An attendee at the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce has responded to criticism about her choice of attire for the occasion.
The marriage of Swift and Kelce took place at Madison Square Garden in New York. The guest list was filled with notable personalities, including celebrities along with the couple’s families and friends, who praised the event even though specific details have not been disclosed.
However, a controversy has emerged concerning what one guest chose to wear to the wedding.
Evans, a professional dancer who was part of Swift’s Eras Tour, which set records as the highest-grossing music tour ever, was among the invited guests. She attended the wedding in a dress of pale pink color.

Despite not being white, the dress has sparked debate online as some fans felt it resembled white too closely.
One individual commented: “If you have to explain that ‘it’s not white, it’s pastel/cream/champagne shade],’ then the color is too close to the red line.”
Another remarked: “White to Taylor Swift’s wedding is insane.”
In response to the backlash, Evans’ husband TJ Shaw, who appeared with her as they modeled their wedding attire, defended her on social media.
He posted online: “DRESS IS PINK CHAMPAGNE color for everyone that doesn’t understand lighting.”
The custom of wearing white to weddings became popular after Queen Victoria donned a white gown at her marriage to Prince Albert in 1840.

White wedding dresses have symbolized the purity of the bride but were also a sign of wealth, as maintaining clean white garments was challenging, indicating wealth by having a dress possibly worn only once.
This tradition led to the unwritten rule that other guests should avoid wearing white to not overshadow the bride.
Adam Sandler, an old acquaintance of Swift, officiated the wedding ceremony.
Reportedly, guests received white embroidered handkerchiefs adorned with lyrics from Swift’s song Blank Space.
Renowned musicians Paul McCartney and Stevie Nicks are said to have performed at the event.
Both Swift and Kelce reportedly became emotional during the exchange of vows, with Swift being notably moved by a segment of Kelce’s vows.
Swift and Kelce’s wedding was a grand affair, hosting 1,000 guests, many of whom were high-profile figures from the realms of sports, music, film, and television.
