Love on the Spectrum star Connor Tomlinson’s new girlfriend has a trait that ‘upset’ him on the show

Connor Tomlinson, known for his appearance on Love on the Spectrum, seems to have had a change of heart regarding a preference that once sparked much debate, as evidenced by his recent introduction of his new partner.

It appears that Connor is no longer single, following the release of a surprising video with his new girlfriend, Sarah Siebert, posted just yesterday (July 6).

“Hard launch,” he captioned the video, as he enjoyed a poolside beer, relaxing on a sun lounger before Sarah entered the shot and kissed him on the cheek.

Connor clarified in the comments, “Sarah and I are just boyfriend & girlfriend and for now that’s good enough for us,” but it was not the relationship status that caught people’s attention.

The focus was instead on a very noticeable trait of his girlfriend.

This characteristic was significant because Connor had previously insisted it was something he wouldn’t tolerate in a potential partner.

She is blonde.

“A blonde?!?,” exclaimed one surprised commenter, while another wittily remarked to the Netflix star: “Congratulations!!! SEE – Blondes are NOT that bad ehhh?”

Another commented: “Connor she’s blonde you go man!!”

So, what is the history between Connor and blondes?

Viewers of the Netflix dating series will recall a memorable moment when he declared a preference for brunettes while discussing potential partners with his mom.

In response to his mother, Lise, who was unaware of his preference, she said, “I didn’t think you were so hung up on hair color,” after her attempt to match him with a friend’s blonde daughter failed.

Connor, surprised by this revelation, exclaimed, “And you didn’t think to tell me?!” when he learned of her hair color. “I am very upset with you.”

This exchange led to much amusement online, and in season 3, the producers arranged a blind date for Connor with a girl named Georgie Harris.

The brunette won him over, and they appeared to be a great match until they parted ways earlier last year.

In an April interview with PEOPLE, Connor reflected on that experience: “Firstly, this was the longest we spent with each other on a date.”

He added, “And well, I was just blown away by the fact I was in London,” noting, “I mean, the last time I was there was just for one day and I barely got to see all the great landmarks, like Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus and, of course, Buckingham Palace.”

“But I noticed Georgie didn’t seem as hyped by this as I was,” Connor mentioned, expressing his concern that “anyone else would’ve thought themselves blessed to be here.”

Now both have moved on, with Georgie also introducing her boyfriend via social media.
