Tennis’ most prestigious tournament returns, and with the cost of food and beverages at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, it’s clear why it holds such an esteemed reputation.
Every year, countless tennis enthusiasts from the UK and around the world participate in the ballot, hoping to secure tickets to witness their favorite players compete on Centre Court.
Many who don’t succeed in the ballot endure long waits in line, hoping to catch some of the action. Others choose to relax on Henman Hill, also known as Murray Mount, to watch the matches on the large screen just outside the courts.
Ticket holders are assured a seat on their assigned court for the entire day, so naturally, they’ll need refreshments. However, they might find themselves digging deep into their wallets if they wish to savor the traditional strawberries and cream or enjoy a glass of Pimms.

According to My London, the cost of the renowned strawberries and cream has increased once again, with sports fans having to pay £2.85 ($3.82) for a modest serving.
For comparison, in England, a 400g box of strawberries from a supermarket costs slightly less at £2.75 ($3.68).
Fans’ posts on X indicate that they receive about 3-4 strawberries in a cardboard box, accompanied by some melted cream.
This might be attributed to the heatwave England has been experiencing in recent weeks, but it hasn’t left fans pleased.

The tradition of this dessert goes back to the early days of the tournament when strawberries were only in season for a few weeks during June and July.
However, the strawberries and cream aren’t the only things straining the wallets of attendees…
High prices prevail, as reported by My London…
