Hugh Hefner’s widow shares ‘revolting detail’ of intimate life with the Playboy founder that haunts her

Crystal Hefner, the widow of Hugh Hefner, has shared insights into her life with the Playboy founder, revealing challenges she faced during their marriage.

Hugh, known for his lavish lifestyle at the Playboy Mansion, was married to Crystal, who met him at 21 when he was 60. They wed in late 2012 and were together until his passing at 91 in 2017, due to a heart attack, with respiratory failure, septicemia, and E. coli also cited in his death certificate.

Following Hugh’s death, Crystal authored a memoir detailing personal aspects of their relationship, expressing feeling ‘imprisoned’ in the mansion. Her sentiments have been echoed by other past girlfriends and Playboy Playmates.

In her book, Crystal offered a critical view of Hefner’s abilities in the bedroom.

Describing him as ‘less sex-savvy than some of the teenage boys I’d been with years ago’, she found intimacy with him to be ‘odd and robotic’. To cope, she would play the same Madonna song to avoid associating other music with their encounters.

Furthermore, Crystal criticized the mansion’s condition, stating: “Everything was moldy and dusty and it was just hoarder central in the mansion.”

Former girlfriend Holly Madison also shared her dissatisfaction regarding intimacy with Hefner during their relationship.

Appearing on the In Your Dreams podcast in May, she expressed her distaste for group encounters involving Hefner.

She stated: “It’s a very different story between when we were just by ourselves than with everybody else in the room. Everybody else in the room, no. That was disgusting. I hated it. I made it very known I hated it.”

In her memoir, Madison also described Hefner as ‘controlling’ and recounted feeling ‘miserable’ in their relationship. She observed that other girlfriends appeared to endure a ‘similar experience’, sensing something was amiss despite their attempts to enjoy the situation.
