Shocking scene as Logan Paul exits his podcast after guest mentions Japan forest scandal

Warning: This article contains discussion of suicide which some readers may find distressing.

Logan Paul abruptly left the set during an episode of his podcast featuring Tana Mongeau.

Mongeau, who is also a YouTube content creator, appeared as a guest in an episode released on November 21.

The episode’s description, available on YouTube, hints at discussions involving Anthony Joshua’s upcoming bout with Jake Paul, the revival of Vine, and Mike Majlak’s alleged purchase of a sex robot…

However, a significant topic left out was the criticism Paul faced after a controversial video he filmed in Japan.

In 2017, Paul and his crew visited the Aokigahara forest near Mount Fuji. The forest is reputedly ‘haunted’ as it is a site where many have died by suicide.

While filming, Paul encountered a deceased man and included close-up footage of the apparent suicide victim in his video.

The group reacted with shock, but their laughter and jokes were deemed insensitive by many. The decision to show the man’s body drew widespread condemnation.

Paul later issued an apology for the video, expressing remorse for ever uploading it.

“I should have never posted the video,” Paul said at the time. “I should have put the cameras down and stopped recording what we were going through.”

He expressed his disappointment and shame over his behavior. Eventually, Paul removed the video from the platform.

The podcast conversation turned to one of the world’s strongest men losing a tug-of-war against a group of children.

Majlak gestured to Mongeau, hinting at the opportunity to reference the 2017 incident that involved Paul.

Paul noticed their intent, and Mongeau explained: “Mike is being really silly right now. ‘Rope’ is a good time for me to make my classic suicide forest joke on Impaulsive, and he [Majlak] tried to lay me up.”

Mongeau admitted she debated mentioning it, sensing Paul wasn’t in the mood for such jokes, yet called him ‘low-hanging fruit’ in what she termed an unplanned pun.

At this point, Paul moved his microphone aside, buried his face in his hands, and exited the podcast set.

Mongeau and Majlak laughed as the YouTuber-turned-wrestler left the scene.

To smooth things over, Mongeau drank a Prime and promoted his brand.
