Erika Kirk’s Message During Preliminary Hearing Confronting Charlie’s Alleged Killer

Erika Kirk has expressed a poignant message as she confronts Tyler Robinson, her husband’s alleged murderer, during a preliminary hearing lasting five days in Utah.

The bereaved mother of two is preparing to encounter Charlie Kirk’s suspected assailant in a Utah courtroom today, following the shooting incident that occurred in September 2025.

Tyler Robinson, aged 22, was apprehended on September 12 after a 33-hour search operation conducted by local authorities and the FBI.

Although the hearing is distinct from the actual murder trial, legal analysts suggest that it might provide the most comprehensive insight into the specifics of the case.

Prosecutors plan to introduce forensic findings, surveillance videos, testimonies from witnesses, and DNA evidence that they argue link Robinson to the deadly shooting.

Just a few hours ago, Erika shared a moving tribute to her deceased husband, featuring clips of the couple expressing ‘I love you’ to each other.

She accompanied the video with the caption: “….on repeat.

“Our love will last me a lifetime.”

Charlie’s family, which includes his parents Robert and Kathryn, his sister Mary, and Erika, issued a statement in advance of the hearing.

“Charlie was a cherished husband, son, brother, friend, and father. Every legal proceeding serves as a painful reminder of his death and the void it has left in our lives and those of his children.”

They continued: “We remain deeply thankful for the kindness, prayers, and support shown to us. This outpouring has sustained us through our darkest times.”

“Out of respect for the judicial process, we will not make further comments at this time. We ask for continued privacy as we navigate this process and our immense grief.”

Erika has spoken publicly multiple times about her husband’s assassination last year, having assumed the role of CEO at his organization, Turning Point USA.

During a conversation with Fox News host Jesse Watters, she confessed: “I never saw the video, I never will see it, and I never want to see it. There are certain images in life you can’t unsee.

“There are experiences in life that mark your soul forever. I don’t want my husband’s public assassination to be a part of my memory, nor do I want my children to see it.”

12pm – Kirk delivers a scheduled presentation at Utah Valley University (UVU)

12.23pm – During a question on gun violence, Kirk is struck in the neck by a single bullet. Videos capture the podcaster falling forward before being assisted into a car as chaos ensues.

2.40pm – Later, President Donald Trump confirmed Kirk’s death on Truth Social, stating: “The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one grasped or had the Heart of the Youth in America better than Charlie.

“He was dearly loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no more.”

Authorities disclosed at a press conference that they had found a bolt-action rifle wrapped in a towel and bullet casings with messages like ‘Hey fascist, catch!’ and ‘notices, bulges, OWO, what’s this?’, the latter referencing the furry subculture focused on anthropomorphic animals.

Simultaneously, the FBI released images and video of a ‘person of interest’. Tyler Robinson’s mother is said to have identified him, leading to his parents confronting him.

Later that day, Robinson voluntarily turned himself in to law enforcement.

Appearing on Fox and Friends, Trump mentioned that a suspect was in custody: “Essentially, someone very close to him turned him in.”

Soon after, authorities confirmed Robinson’s arrest, with investigators reporting that he confessed to his father, who then involved a family friend, subsequently contacting the US Marshals, who apprehended the 22-year-old.

Following her husband’s death, Erika Kirk released her first statement, declaring that his movement ‘is not going anywhere’.

She stated: “You have no idea the fire you’ve ignited in this widow. The cries of this widow will reverberate around the world like a battle cry.”

Prosecutors announced the charges against Robinson, which include aggravated murder, committing a violent crime in front of a child, two counts of witness tampering, obstruction of justice, and felony firearm discharge. Robinson made his preliminary court appearance.

Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray indicated that the prosecution would seek the death penalty if Robinson is found guilty, emphasizing: “I do not take this decision lightly.”

During Kirk’s memorial service on September 21, Erika addressed the attendees, sharing why she had ‘forgiven’ her husband’s killer.

“My husband aimed to save young men, even those like the one who ended his life,” she expressed.

“On the cross, our savior said: ‘Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.’

“I forgive that young man. I forgive him because it is what Christ did, and it is what Charlie would have done.”

A five-day preliminary hearing is underway, where the prosecution presents the case against Robinson.
