A surprising moment occurred during Hilary Duff’s concert in Dallas last week when her security team nearly had to step in. The star later shared what was going through her mind during the incident.
The beloved Disney Channel alum is currently on her Lucky Me Tour. Fans attending the show have the opportunity to join Duff on stage while she performs her song, With Love. However, this interactive experience can sometimes be unpredictable.
On June 30, a fan got a bit too enthusiastic and picked up the Lizzie McGuire actress, spinning her around during the performance, which made security on edge.
Dressed as Duff’s character from the 1998 film Casper Meets Wendy, the fan eventually set her back down. The audience applauded, and though Duff appeared to laugh it off, her security team was seen momentarily advancing from the background.

The incident quickly made waves on social media, with the fan sharing their encounter on TikTok, resulting in a flood of comments.
One comment leading to a video response stated: “omg this is amazing. Scary at first but Hillary took it in her stride. You see the security guard come out from behind the curtain.”
Karson, the fan known on TikTok as @thakarlotus, expressed regret for causing stress to Duff’s security in the video and apologized for any unintended safety risk.
“I got really, really excited, and to be honest, I kind of blacked out during that moment,” Karson admitted.
Showing appreciation for Duff, Karson’s feelings seemed reciprocated when she commented on the video.

“I loved my big swing around hug! Don’t think twice!” she commented.
A thrilled Karson replied: “OMG!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!!! Hahahah ILYSM!!!”
Despite the brief moments of tension related to security and fan safety, all seems well in Duff’s world, and she shows no sign of stopping her fan-inclusive stage act.
The 38-year-old will perform next in California, before traveling to the United Kingdom in September.
Fans with tickets should get ready to dance!
