Former President Donald Trump has sparked controversy by releasing a video on social media, where he offers advice to celebrities worldwide, adopting the persona of “Dr. Trump” to diagnose them with ‘TDS’.
As the nation gears up for Fourth of July festivities, Trump took to Truth Social to share a late-night video, in which he accuses several celebrities of suffering from a condition he refers to as ‘TDS’.
This isn’t his first time using the term against critics, but the list of celebrities has grown.
Trump explains that Trump Derangement Syndrome affects a group of celebrities who have criticized his policies.
Among them is Robert De Niro, who previously stated he would ‘punch’ Trump if he won the 2016 election.
Edward Norton has also been vocal, recently telling the Washington Times that Trump is ‘worse than Nixon’, criticizing his ‘competency’.
Rosie O’Donnell appears on the list as well, unsurprisingly given their longstanding feud.
There are some unexpected names included in his AI-generated video.
In the video, Trump is dressed in a doctor’s outfit with a white coat labeled ‘Dr. Trump’.
The video features staged ‘interviews’ with the celebrities mentioned, who then discuss their ‘treatment plan’.
A fake version of O’Donnell, Whoopi Goldberg, De Niro, Julia Roberts, John Leguizamo, and Norton describe their ‘TDS’ symptoms and the effects of the treatment.
The AI-generated O’Donnell remarks: “I have been suffering for over a decade and after listening to Dr. Trump, I can see some results.”
The imitation De Niro claims: “I had no idea how much this was affecting my life. My work has slowed down. I’m hardly recognizable anymore. I just needed help. I couldn’t eat. I couldn’t sleep. Constantly angry. I made everyone miserable around me.”
Roberts comments on her appearance, saying: “I feel like I’ve aged 20 years in the last two years.”
Norton mentions that his career has suffered due to his TDS.
Perhaps the most notable part of the video is the ‘treatment plan’, which supposedly rejuvenated the celebrities.
In the clip, the fake Trump suggests: “Turn off fake news. Say your prayers and, if you ever feel anxious, just have a Diet Coke like me and you’re gonna see a remarkable difference in your life.”
