Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Make It Official with Wedding Vows

From the Eras Tour to Kansas City Chiefs games and all the way down the aisle – Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have officially tied the knot!

Swift’s longtime publicist, Tree Paine, confirmed the joyous news through a statement, shortly after 7:30pm EST.

The announcement also highlighted that both the bride and groom donned Dior for their ceremony, with outfits crafted by Jonathan Anderson, the creative director of Dior Women’s, Men’s, and Haute Couture Collections.

Additionally, Paine mentioned that the couple’s shoes were uniquely designed by Christian Louboutin, while Swift’s jewelry was sourced from Cartier.

The couple’s special day followed Swift’s Instagram post where she announced their engagement on August 26, 2025, sharing a photo of Kelce proposing in a flower-laden garden.

“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” Swift captioned the image, which quickly garnered over 37.5 million likes.

After the engagement, Swifties eagerly searched for clues about the anticipated wedding, speculating that it might take place at New York’s Madison Square Garden.

Fans analyzed various aspects, from the date to the guest list, using hidden hints Swift is known to leave for her fans.

Finally, the confirmation has given fans the insight they’ve been eagerly waiting for.

Before their nuptials, Swift shared on the UK’s Heart Radio Breakfast show that despite others thinking she might have always dreamed of a wedding, she never considered it until she met “the person”.

Kelce echoed similar sentiments to golfer Rory McIlroy on his New Heights podcast, expressing his eagerness to marry Swift.

Their relationship began after Kelce attempted to get Swift’s attention at her Kansas City Eras Tour, unable to deliver a friendship bracelet he made for her.

His comments were picked up by the media, allowing Kelce to finally share a moment with Swift, which led to a blossoming relationship.

In an August 2025 interview with GQ, Kelce stated: “When I say it was so organic, we fell in love just based off the people we were sitting in a room together with. We are two fun-loving people who have the morals to appreciate everyone for who they are. We share all those values.”

According to Page Six, an array of food and ingredients were seen being delivered to Madison Square Garden before the wedding, hinting at the menu for the occasion.

Guests seem to be in for a gourmet experience with lobster meat among the items delivered.

The couple appears to favor chicken as well, with several types of chicken – including breasts, legs, boneless, and blackened – labeled on the delivery boxes.

Deliveries also included French fries, thick-cut onion rings, red and orange peppers, romaine lettuce, eggs, whole milk, and heavy whipping cream.

Additionally, a Krispy Kreme van was seen at MSG, though it remains unclear if guests will receive an Original Glazed Dozen, given a nearby donut shop.

TMZ reported that Swift ‘personally curated food stations’ for the event, offering ‘specialty bites’ from her favorite eateries.

Wedding Preparations

Leading up to the wedding, speculation was rife about the possibility of the event taking place at Madison Square Garden.

City officials confirmed a street closure permit had been filed to close roads around the venue from July 2 to 4, and the New York Times reported that some of Kelce’s teammates from the Kansas City Chiefs had reserved hotel rooms in the area for that weekend.

New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch stated that police would staff a private event at the venue, without providing specifics, but assured that appropriate resources would be allocated for major events in the city.

CBS News reported plans for a rehearsal dinner at the Infosys Theater for about 100 guests, followed by a grand celebration for approximately 1,000 attendees on Friday night, including a cocktail hour and an all-night reception.

Crews observed unloading foliage, “branches” boxes, and food such as lobster at the venue, suggesting opulent, garden-themed décor was in the works.

Wedding Event Setup

As speculation increased, more evidence accumulated outside the venue. Large trucks labeled “Garden Party” and “GP” were seen arriving, unloading stage equipment and other gear. A black box marked “40-inch mirror ball” and a large white staircase railing were among the items delivered, alongside other mystery deliveries wrapped in black fabric or wooden crates. TMZ captured video of a gazebo being loaded into the arena days before the wedding, and drapes and food were seen inside. Workers also rolled out a carpet on the arena steps, though reports varied on its color, suggesting it was red or swapped for purple. New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani humorously referenced the wedding during a press conference about a heatwave, advising those “getting married at MSG” to stay cool indoors, also noting the city hosted a World Cup match the same weekend as “Taylor Swift’s wedding.”

Details about the guest list were kept under wraps, with NFL player George Kittle, singer Benson Boone, and actress Suki Waterhouse confirming their invitations, while longtime friends Selena Gomez, Jack Antonoff, and Abigail Anderson Berard were expected to attend.

BBC Radio 1’s Greg James reportedly received a personal invite from Swift during her album promotion. Fans speculated on Blake Lively’s attendance, amid her public legal clash with co-star Justin Baldoni, and wondered if model Karlie Kloss had been invited. Theories about performers included Stevie Nicks and Tim McGraw, partly spurred by Swift’s “Stevie Knicks” shirt at a Knicks game.
