TikTok influencer shares devastating update: One of her twin daughters passes away due to placental abruption

Influencer Tineke ‘Tini’ Younger has opened up about her grief after revealing the death of one of her twin daughters.

In July, Younger informed her 12 million followers that she was expecting, with a due date set for November, nearly a year following her marriage to Antoine Wright Jr.

Younger’s followers, who were introduced to her through her appearance on the Next Level Chef series hosted by Gordon Ramsay, followed her throughout her pregnancy journey. The 24-year-old chef continued to post her comforting recipes during this time.

Last month, she shared an eggplant parmesan dish on TikTok, noting humorously that the twins were “the size of an eggplant.”

However, on the 26th of November, Younger posted a devastating update announcing the loss of one of the twins, Arya, due to a 36-week placental abruption.

This complication occurs when the placenta separates from the uterine wall, leading to severe oxygen reduction for the unborn babies and significant bleeding for the mother, as per the Cleveland Clinic.

Placental abruption is a rare pregnancy complication affecting 1 in 100 pregnancies.

The Cleveland Clinic identifies symptoms such as abdominal pain, vaginal bleeding, strong contractions, back pain, and reduced fetal movement.

“This isn’t the post I ever thought I would share once the twins came, unfortunately, earlier this week we lost our sweet girl Arya (Baby A),” she expressed in an Instagram post.

“We made it to almost 36 weeks we were so close to being done and getting the girls to term but I had a placenta abruption and we lost our sweet girl.”

“Her twin sister is doing really good and breathing on her own. They both are so beautiful and Arya will always be celebrated, her sister will know she is a twin and has a beautiful twin sister,” she added.

“They both are so beautiful, and Arya will always be celebrated; her sister will know she is a twin and has a beautiful twin sister.”

The chef announced that she ‘will be taking a break’ after giving birth, though she was ‘unsure for how long’ she would remain away, concluding with: “I promise I will be back. I love you guys.”
