Vin Diesel recently conveyed a powerful message to Dwayne Johnson, addressing their long-standing discord.
Despite having shared the screen in several Fast and Furious films, the two actors often found themselves at odds during production.
The tension between Vin Diesel and The Rock has been apparent for years. However, Vin Diesel seems to have suggested that their differences have been reconciled, as evidenced by his recent Instagram post featuring a nostalgic photo of them from set.
In the post, Diesel reflected on his friendship with Johnson, commending the 53-year-old’s portrayal of Mark Kerr in The Smashing Machine.
“One of the greatest gifts in life isn’t something you can buy, it’s the relationships forged along the way,” he penned.
“And let me celebrate Dwayne. People don’t understand what it takes to uphold a global perception every single day. I remember asking our global family who they’d love to see me work with, and a woman named Jan left a comment saying her dream was for me to collaborate with Dwayne.

“What followed became one of the most dynamic pairings in cinema, two strong personalities who pushed each other and created something unforgettable. When he stepped into Hobbs, he did it with full commitment and left an indelible mark on Universal’s character hall of fame.”
Diesel went on to express his pride in his Fast and Furious colleague, recognizing Johnson’s performance in The Smashing Machine.
“Dwayne really did it… He brought us back in time and shined doing it,” he further remarked.
This gesture surprised many fans, given the actors’ rumored disagreements. Johnson had previously called Diesel a ‘cand ya**’ in an Instagram post several years back, subsequently leaving the Fast and Furious series.
The post, prior to the 2017 release of The Fate of The Furious, stated: “My female co-stars are always amazing and I love ’em.
“My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand-up men and true professionals, while others don’t.
“The ones that don’t are too chicken s**t to do anything about it anyway. Candy a**es.
“When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling – you’re right. #ZeroToleranceForCandyA**es.”
The former WWE champion later expressed regret for his comments, admitting it wasn’t his ‘best day’ and that he should not have spoken out.
