Selena Gomez’s mother-in-law takes cover during LA home burglary

Sandra Levin, the mother-in-law of music producer Benny Blanco, faced a harrowing situation when her home was broken into and burglarized. The incident took place at Levin’s Studio City residence on a Monday evening. Around 9:30 pm, two individuals clad in dark attire forcefully entered the property by breaking a glass door on its side.

Upon hearing the disturbance, Levin quickly retreated upstairs, securing herself in a bathroom within a bedroom while she contacted the police for assistance. During her time hiding, Levin overheard the intruders making their way upstairs and entering a bedroom.

When she cautiously peeked out to assess the situation, the intruders noticed her presence and promptly left the scene, leaving Levin understandably distressed from the encounter.

The full extent of the theft remains unknown, although the intruders ransacked the house, reportedly kicking the bathroom door off its hinges, according to MyNews4. Fortunately, no injuries were sustained, and it remains unclear if the suspects, who were masked and dressed in dark clothing as reported by NBC4, were armed.

This alarming event occurred merely two months after Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco were married at a secluded 70-acre estate located north of Santa Barbara, California, about a 90-minute drive from Los Angeles.

Gomez and Blanco’s relationship began in 2019 after collaborating on the song ‘I Can’t Get Enough,’ released in February of that year. The accompanying music video, released the following month, showed Gomez interacting with Blanco, who was dressed in a teddy bear costume. Blanco also co-produced Gomez’s track ‘Single Soon,’ which came out in August 2023, though Gomez was not actually single at that time.

In December of the same year, Gomez confirmed their relationship, telling fans on Instagram that Blanco was her ‘absolute everything’ and revealing they had been dating for six months. A year later, on December 11, 2024, Gomez announced their engagement.
