Everyone Notices the Same Detail in Cookie Company’s Controversial Ad Video

In an effort to capture attention, companies often go to great lengths in their advertising strategies. One cookie company, however, has sparked conversation with its controversial video.

Many of us have encountered advertisements that stick with us and even encourage us to make impulsive purchases. Yet, sometimes the intended message can become muddled.

Occasionally, businesses attempt unconventional approaches to grab attention, entertain, or even perplex viewers to ensure their product is memorable. This tactic, however, doesn’t always yield the intended outcome.

Currently, one cookie company may be reconsidering its approach after an ad for their brand garnered mixed reactions, according to social media feedback.

The ad, posted on the TikTok account of Crumb & Co. by Lana, employs a bait-and-switch technique to engage viewers.

Operating out of Egypt, the business sells cookies via social media and went viral with the video, amassing over 13 million views.

The video begins much like many simulation clips that narrate peculiar tales of individuals surviving near-death experiences.

This particular story involves an overweight woman who survives a bullet because her fat stops it from reaching vital organs.

The narrator then suggests: “To save your life, order my cookies, so your stomach can get bigger and bigger, preventing death caused by the bullet.”

Unsurprisingly, this generated significant attention, with some considering it quite unexpected.

One TikTok user commented: “Can we have an urgent meeting with the marketing team because what the heck.”

Another added: “Never have I ever seen advertisements like this before.”

A third remarked: “Bro is preparing people for stray bullets. You can’t make this up.”

Someone else noted: “I have a lot to say but don’t know how to say it…”

In contrast, some viewers found the ad amusing and commended its playful attempt to entice buyers.

A fan mentioned: “Best Advert I’ve seen on the internet soo far.”

Another added: “Okay this is the most funniest advertisement I’ve seen.”

And another user expressed: “If this is not a successful marketing , I don’t know what is.”

Though unconventional, the ad seems to have resonated with some on social media and may have led to increased orders—indicating a potentially effective advertisement.
