Morgan Geyser, infamously known as one of the ‘Slender Man stabbers’, provided law enforcement with an unsettling response upon her capture on Sunday night.
Geyser made an escape from her group home on Saturday (November 22) after she had removed her ankle monitor.
She, alongside another student, was found guilty of viciously attacking their classmate, Payton Leutner, by stabbing her 19 times in a wooded area in Waukesha, Wisconsin. This attack was reportedly to gain favor with the fictional horror figure, Slender Man.
Remarkably, Leutner managed to survive the attack that occurred in 2014.
Both Geyser and her partner in crime, Anissa Weier, faced charges of first-degree attempted intentional homicide.
In 2018, Geyser was sentenced to 40 years in a mental institution, but she was moved to a group home earlier this year after psychologists agreed she was ready for a supervised release.
As a condition of her release, Geyser was required to wear an ankle monitoring bracelet.
She was recently reported missing from the group home, but was located by authorities the following evening.
Geyser was found at Thornton’s truck stop with another individual and was taken into custody at approximately 10:30 pm on Sunday night (November 23), discovered sleeping on the sidewalk.
Upon apprehension, Geyser advised the officers to ‘Google [her]’.
“The female repeatedly refused to provide her real name and initially gave a false one,” police stated regarding the 23-year-old.
“After continued attempts to identify her, she finally stated that she didn’t want to tell officers who she was because she had ‘done something really bad,’ and suggested that officers could ‘just Google’ her name.”

The male individual accompanying Geyser has not been identified but was reportedly charged with criminal trespassing and obstructing identification.
He is said to be 42 years old and has since been released. Police have not disclosed any information regarding his potential role in Geyser’s escape from the group home.
It remains uncertain whether Geyser will face new charges.
During the time Geyser was missing, a spokesperson for Leutner and her family issued a statement to reassure the public of their safety.
“Payton Leutner and her family are aware of the most recent situation regarding Morgan Geyser,” the family’s representative told ABC News.
“Payton and her family are safe and are working closely with local law enforcement to ensure their continued safety.”
The spokesperson further expressed gratitude: “The Leutner family also wish to thank the outpouring of support from family, friends, and well-wishers who have contacted them during this difficult time.”
