American Pie Actress Tara Reid Alleges ‘Drugging Incident at Hotel Bar’ After Stretcher Removal

Tara Reid has claimed that she was ‘drugged’ at a hotel bar, leading to her being hospitalized.

TMZ obtained footage showing the American Pie actress slumped in a wheelchair before being placed on a stretcher and taken out of a Chicago hotel.

Reid stated that she visited the hotel bar around 10:30pm on Saturday, November 22. The 50-year-old actress was reportedly hospitalized early Sunday morning.

She suspects her drink was ‘spiked’ about 30 minutes after arriving at the bar. Reid mentioned leaving her drink unattended when she stepped outside for a smoke, returning to find a napkin on top of her glass, something she did not place there.

She consumed her glass of wine — claiming it was her only alcoholic drink that evening — and later awoke in a hospital bed.

Regarding the situation, a representative for Reid told Page Six: “Tara Reid has filed a police report after an incident in which she believes her drink was tampered with. She is cooperating fully with the investigation.

“Tara is recovering and asks for privacy during this traumatic time. She also urges everyone to be careful, watch your drinks and never leave them unattended, as this can happen to anyone. She will not be making further comments at this stage.”

UNILAD has reached out to Reid’s representatives for further comments.

Florida State University indicates that potential signs of a spiked drink include a salty or bitter taste, a foggy appearance, excessive bubbles in a non-carbonated drink, sinking ice that initially floated, and a change in the drink’s color.

According to Unspiked, an estimated one in five women aged 18 to 30 have encountered drink spiking or attempted drink spiking in social environments.

Symptoms from being spiked, as Reid suggests she experienced, include memory loss, mental confusion, feeling ‘out of it,’ and speech difficulties.

More severe symptoms may include breathing problems, muscle spasms or seizures, low body temperature and blood pressure, and loss of consciousness.

It’s important to note if your hangover feels unusually prolonged or severe despite consuming little to no alcohol the previous night.
