Throughout the years, we’ve come across many diets, from keto to the carnivore diet. However, one man’s eating habits from Nebraska, US, might leave you astonished.
Weston has embraced a raw-meat-centric diet for several years.
During an appearance on ITV This Morning, he spoke with hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley, as well as Dr. Zoe Williams. Weston disclosed that he consumes raw meat at every meal, amounting to two pounds daily.
His menu includes raw liver and chicken among other meats.
Weston explained his reasons for this lifestyle change: “I started having some health issues in my late 20s, early 30s and… skin problems and brain fog and fatigue… and I decided to take matters in my own hands and go ahead and address it with diet.”

He further elaborated: “It started with going gluten-free… and I noticed a huge increase in my health by just cutting out gluten.”
This led him to try the carnivore diet, a controversial choice that experts caution against.
The ultimate step for Weston was to ‘stop cooking his food’ entirely, a decision he says provided immediate benefits.
Recalling his first experience with raw food, a rib eye steak, Weston admitted: “I had a little bit of a gag reflex because it was such a new texture and flavor. It took a while for my palette to adjust to the bland taste.”
Despite initial challenges, Weston now finds pleasure in these flavors, even admitting that the diet gives him the urge to ‘howl like a wolf’.
Among his raw meat choices, Weston included raw chicken, claiming he has never contracted Salmonella.
While consuming certain raw foods like sushi is more common, a complete raw meat diet, particularly with chicken and pork, raises health concerns among medical professionals.

Dr. Zoe, citing Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data, noted: “In America, 48 million people every year end up getting food-borne illnesses.”
She highlighted some of these diseases, such as Salmonella, Campylobacter, Hepatitis A, and parasitic worms.
Although Weston claims improvements in his well-being, Dr. Zoe acknowledged the downsides of modern diets in the US and UK, which are laden with ultra-processed foods.
She recommended that eliminating ultra-processed foods could be ‘the healthiest option’ compared to carnivore or vegan diets.
According to Healthline, the potential advantages of raw meat consumption are likely outweighed by the risk of foodborne illnesses, and there’s limited evidence supporting the nutritional superiority of raw meat.
The site also mentions that anthropologists believe cooking food played a crucial role in human evolution by breaking down proteins for easier digestion.
