Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene’s boyfriend has expressed his support following her unexpected resignation announcement.
Brian Glenn, Chief White House Correspondent for Real America’s Voice, a channel supportive of Trump, has steadfastly backed his partner of two years. This comes after Greene’s relationship with the former president appeared to falter, prompting both Glenn and Greene’s daughter to commend the two-term representative.
In her resignation statement, Greene highlighted her achievements on key Republican issues, such as gun rights and abortion, but also conveyed her disappointment with the current party leadership. It seems the withdrawal of support from Trump was a pivotal factor in her decision to exit active politics.
“I have too much self respect and dignity, love my family way too much, and do not want my sweet district to endure a hurtful and hateful primary against me by the president we all fought for, only to fight and win my election while Republicans will likely lose the midterms,” she stated.

Lacking the support of the figure whose politics helped elevate her political career, Greene declared she would step down from her Congressional role on January 5, 2026.
After sharing her 10-minute resignation address, Glenn lauded the Georgia congresswoman’s determination on X, commenting: “You never allowed the political industrial complex to break you. No one fought for America harder than you.”
Greene’s daughter, Lauren Greene Sanders, echoed this sentiment, referring to her mother as a ‘one of a kind congresswoman’. She added: “Forever will be so proud of my mom. 110% on America First, American Only.”
However, neither Glenn nor Greene’s daughter mentioned the president himself in their statements.
Since Trump labeled Greene a ‘traitor’ in reaction to her support for the release of confidential documents connected to Jeffrey Epstein, Greene has reportedly been inundated with death threats. Trump has since approved the release of these documents.
When asked by the press, Trump seemed indifferent to losing a former ally, even calling it ‘great news’.
“Nah, it doesn’t matter, you know but I think it’s great. I think she should be happy,” Trump told ABC’s Rachel Scott during a phone-in, adding: “I think it’s great news for the country. It’s great.”
Despite their ambitions within right-wing political circles, Greene’s daughter and boyfriend have stood firmly by her side during her split from the MAGA movement.
Despite his role at the White House, Glenn publicly supported Greene after Trump called her a ‘traitor’, stating: “I love this woman. I love this country. God bless America.”
The couple’s relationship began in 2023, following their respective divorces.
Meanwhile, Greene’s daughter Lauren has been vocal in her defense of her mother, confronting her mother’s critics as ‘fake MAGA’.
According to the Daily Mail, she responded to a critic on social media: “Funny how you have MAGA in your bio and MAGA means ‘Make America Great Again,’ yet here you are calling her a traitor, even though she [is] one of the real one[s] who are actually trying to make America great again by unapologetically fighting for us, the American citizens, by being America First.”
